About the holding of the special exhibition at the Hirose History Memorial Museum in FY2024
A special exhibition entitled "150 Years of Hirose Saihei's Development of Uehara: Reiwa-era Great Renovation Begins - Pioneer of Modern Japanese Architecture and Gardens" will be held at the Hirose Historical Memorial Museum Exhibition Hall from Saturday, October 19th to Sunday, December 15th. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the development of Uehara, and in order to pass on to the next generation the thoughts of Hirose Saihei on the former Hirose residence (an important cultural property and scenic spot) and its architecture, this exhibition will introduce the future maintenance policy for the residence based on the preservation and utilization plan formulated in March 2022, along with related historical materials.
