Riding a Setouchi Bus
1. Wait at a Setouchi Bus Stop.
Check the destination and schedule, and wait for the bus at the bus stop.
· There may be different bus stops for regular and express buses, as well as for different destinations.
2. When the bus arrives, look for its destination on the front of the bus (A).
Board the bus using the central door (B).
· The front door (C) is for disembarking.
· If you need the bus driver’s assistance, please speak to them via the intercom (D).
3. Take a numbered boarding ticket at the entrance.
· Once you have boarded, take a seat immediately to prevent accidents onboard.
· Refrain from switching to another seat while the bus is in motion.
· The bus may come to a sudden stop at any time, so please hold onto a strap or handrail when standing.
4. When your desired stop is announced, press the stop button.
5. Check the fare on the fare table at the front of the bus that corresponds to your numbered boarding ticket, and have your fare ready.
· Fares are paid when you disembark.
· Cash, commuter passes, and discount tickets are the only accepted payment methods.
(IC cards and other public transport smart cards are not accepted.)
6. After the bus has stopped, insert your fare and numbered boarding ticket into the fare box (E). Exit from the door on the left.
· Once the bus has come to a complete stop, you are free to get up from your seat.
· Please use the change machine when the bus is not moving. The change machine on the bus only accepts coins and 1,000 yen bills. Put coins in the coin slot (F) and bills in the bill slot (G). Change from the change machine will exit into the tray (H).
· No change will be provided, so please insert the exact amount.
